Sandhill cranes

Yes, yet another post.  The good news is we aren't doing much today, so I am not adding to the back log, just catching up on posts!

I have mentioned that animals show up in the most unexpected places.  I know there are Sandhill cranes in Florida, for example, but the first I saw were the two at Sea World.  And then the next day (Monday), Lee and I saw two more, in downtown Titusville.  The male had a confident strut.  The female seemed to think her mate was crazy, but she dutifully followed him.  I hope they didn't stay long, and found a more suitable place safely.  Lee took these photos.







The photo above give you a sense of size.  They are very large birds, with a wing span of 6 to 8 feet!
